ART DIRECTION + 3D MODELING

Layout design for the physical issue of the band’s first LP on vinyl and cassette. My work on this involved some photo bashing, illustration, and typesetting.

We were ever-so interested in capturing the magic trapped at the intersection of budding Internet aesthetics, riot grrrl zine cultures, and the critical eye of the post-Dischord Records D.C. punk scene. My “illustrating” and “photobashing” for this project consisted mostly of resurrecting long-dead fancy font generators from the Internet Archive, scouring One Terobyte of Kilobyte Age and Tumblr for .gifs, and lazily cutting up photographs on Photoshop.

I totally ripped off risograph and laser copier zine aesthetics here - shout to out to all my risographers and ziners.
